Contacting our God, SuHyung Chang

Through the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee I realized that as a human being I have a human spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23), and as a believer I have the Triune God in my spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17).

I thank the Lord for His mercy on me in introducing me to the local churches on this earth. Everyone on this earth pursues something. Some people pursue Christ, and other people pursue other things. But I know nothing can satisfy my thirst except my God. For so many years I didn't know that God could satisfy my thirst. But then I came to know my spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23) and that the Triune God dwells there (2 Timothy 4:22). However, often times I was still deceived by Satan. Watchman Nee's and Witness Lee's ministry helped me to know Satan, God's enemy, is wiser than man. I cannot overcome Satan by my wisdom. To tell the truth, my purpose is not to defeat the enemy, but to just turn to the Lord and say, “Lord Jesus I love You.”

After receiving the Lord's mercy, I realized how much I was in my mind; even now so many times I ignore my Lord. How much I need saving from myself. I encounter many different situations in which I see how much I depend on my knowledge or wisdom. I need to see all these things are not God.

I have to admit I've been poisoned by Satan (Romans 7:17-18,20). So if I live by my soul life I automatically live by Satan (Matthew 16:22-23). But I have to know that, even if something is good and wonderful, if it is without God it is vain. So, I have to just pursue God with a pure heart.
